Course Overview
Course Description
Today’s digital workflows go beyond the intraoral scan. By incorporating 3D facial data into treatment planning, clinicians can design restorations that better match facial esthetics, function, and patient expectations. This course explores how facially driven design enhances communication, improves predictability, and strengthens case acceptance.Attendees will review workflows for combining facial scans with digital design software to plan cosmetic, implant, and full-arch cases. Clinical examples will demonstrate how printed trial smiles and provisional restorations can be used to evaluate esthetics, phonetics, occlusion, and patient approval before final delivery.
Participants will leave with practical strategies to create more confident treatment plans, reduce surprises, and deliver final restorations with greater efficiency and precision.
Course Objectives
1. Identify how 3D facial data can be incorporated into digital design workflows to improve esthetic planning and restorative predictability.
2. Describe the clinical applications of printed trial restorations and provisional prototypes for evaluating fit, function, phonetics, and patient approval prior to final treatment.
3. Implement a repeatable workflow for integrating facial scans, digital design, and printed prototypes in cosmetic, implant, and full-arch restorative cases.
