So in this Webinar Dr. Gamil will discuss the concept of Total digital solution, and how to understand, integrate and implement it in everyday practice, starting with the phase of scanning: CBCT, Intraoral or in lab optical scanners, face photos, digital models, impression scans and their integration. Then going through the phase of planning using the acquired data using specialized software, showing the added benefit and amazing potentials and ending with the different type of manufacturing such as: 3D printing, Laser sintering, Milling and their applications and how this pool forms together what we call the total digital solutions and how to be familiar with the workflow, implement and ride this wave of tomorrow becoming a reality today.

Dear Band: 1-The accuracy of CBCT units in term of geometric resolution is measured in voxel size and it varies from 90 micrometer (0.09mm) up to 600 micrometer (0.6mm) and this differs from one manufacturer to another and according to the field of view used. Machines having special modes to scan models or impressions to digitize them can have smaller voxel size some say 50-70 microns. 2- Each 3D software has its advantages according to the specific application needed like implantology, Endodontics, ENT, Airway Analysis, Orthodontics, guided surgery etc... some software are more equipped for certain functions more than the others, it depends on what do you want to use it for. 3-As for the HU in CBCT , it is agreed thus far the they generate "pseudo-HU" or grey levels and not true ones, some research work is done to derive HU from CBCT grey levels by conversion ratios or algorithms like :"Deriving Hounsfield units using grey levels in cone beam computed tomography P Mah, TE Reeves and WD McDavid" It is a big topic both in discussion and research. CAD/CAM technology has the advantage of reduced clinical chair-time and reduced laboratory costs. The accuracy of these techniques has improved to the point where they are now comparable to conventional techniques. This presentation will review the current technology which allows the fabrication of an implant abutments through streamlined digital fabrication, that maximizes aesthetics and minimizes time and errors.
