Success in implant dentistry should ideally evaluate the long‐term primary outcome of an implant‐prosthetic complex as a whole. During this lecture, clinical considerations for dental implants will be analyzed in the context of their application to esthetic implant rehabilitations. Risk assessment, treatment planning, surgical protocols and esthetic/prosthodontic rehabilitations will be discussed in detail according to different clinical situations. In particular, this presentation will examine the most frequently used criteria to define treatment success for implant rehabilitations in the esthetic zone. Parameters at the implant level, peri‐implant soft tissue, prosthetics, and patient satisfaction level will be discussed as indicators of treatment success.
