Dr. Marcelo Calamita received his DDS degree from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. He obtained his certificate, MS, and PhD in prosthodontics from the same University, were he worked as clinical instructor in the Department of Prosthodontics for 17 years. He was associate professor of prosthodontics at University Braz Cubas and University of Guarulhos, both in Sao Paulo. He is the former President of the Brazilian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and maintains a full-time private practice focusing on comprehensive restorative and implant dentistry. He has lectured, published articles and co-authored book chapters on treatment planning, implants and esthetic restorative dentistry.
