Session 1: Module 1 - Accurate Diagnosis for Orthodontic Treatment (6 hrs)

Learning Objectives:

1. To use the Model analysis to determine, Arch Form, Arch Width and Arch Depth.

2. Define and measure width of an Arch form and Arch Depth.

3. Identify the ideal Arch width and develop a treatment plan for patients with a compromised Arch form.

4. Define the importance of completing a cephalometric analysis during the diagnostic stage of Orthodontic treatment

5. Describe basic Orthodontic cephalometric classifications and definitions

6. Identify basic cephalometric points, landmarks, and measurements.

7. To define which records are required for each type of Orthodontic case.

8. To take intra-oral and extra-oral Orthodontic photographs and place them in the appropriate diagnostic template.

9. To perform an initial Orthodontic visit and what information is required from patients during this first consultation.

Session 2: Module 2 - Beginning Clear Aligner Treatment (12 hrs)

Learning Objectives:

1. To determine which type of malocclusions are best treated with clear Aligner

2. Identify Andrews 6 keys to occlusion

3. To select the appropriate initial clear Aligner cases to treat.

4. Set-up clinical preferences related to clear Aligner treatment.

5. Recognize the direction of force that clear Aligner attachments exert on each tooth.

6. Perform Inter Proximal Reduction (IPR) when needed in clear Aligner cases.

7. Use the final clear Aligner as a Finishing Appliance.

8. Differentiate Class II malocclusions.

9. Identify the most appropriate Class II treatment option to select

10. Recognize complex tooth movements and degree of difficulty of each case.

11. Complete the USDI Case Evaluation Form.

12. Identify tooth movements that cause open bites.

13. Perform IPR efficiently and in the appropriate instances.
